Mural Title: Art Alley
Location: Between W Race St and W Arch Ave, Searcy, AR
Project Description:
What once was an unused eyesore back alleyway, is now a living canvas for over 90+ local artists that express themselves and an ever-changing cultural destination. Art Alley is a true example of successful creative place-making. Artists can sign up to participate and choose a designated spot along alleyway walls. Each work must change at least every three months so the alley continues to evolve and provide a fresh experience each time it is visited. Overhead lights illuminate the alley after sunset that turns the space into something truly magical.
Make sure to visit Art Alley on the first Friday of each month as artists paint live and nearby food vendors and street musicians provide a rich experience, usually beginning around 6 pm.
